In our family, long drives are often a part of our travels. They can be amazing, and also tiring!
When we have a good audiobook or podcast to listen to, the time flies by and we all have a way better experience!
Before we hit the road, I always make sure to have some audio books ready to go. We have kept a pretty detailed list of our favorite audiobooks for a long drive, and I hope this inspires you in your search for a great way to keep the entire family entertained on the road. It is the BEST when you reach your destination before the end of a particularly good book, and the kids are actually disappointed because they want to keep listening to the story. Parent win! I love it when we go inside and instead of turning on the TV, we get to continue listening to the story as a family. Those are lovely moments.

My son listened to a lot of these stories when he was 4 and 5 years old, because the stories for little ones weren't engaging enough for my daughter who is 2 years older than him.
